During my stay at the W Barcelona, I managed the invoicing of over 258 corporate groups. My job consisted of checking invoices, supervising the payment of commissions to third-party companies and ensuring a pleasant stay for customers in collaboration with the hotel's meeting planners.

During my supervisor's six-week absence due to illness, I had to take over responsibility for the group invoicing department, managing the billing for all events on my own. My work was rewarded with an award, as I was voted the hotel's best trainee in the second quarter, a testament to the quality of my replacement and my performance throughout my six-month placement.

My assignments included a daily review of invoices in collaboration with the convention services and catering sales departments, ensuring the integrity and compliance of billing processes. I also optimized financial processes by creating an Excel macro, improving the efficiency of tracking and collecting guarantee and stay payments.

During this internship, I managed over 26,400 room nights, ensuring billing accuracy and rigorous financial monitoring. I managed invoicing for major events such as Mobile World Congress, as well as a group purchasing project involving over 2,000 room nights, demonstrating my ability to manage large-scale projects.

 

Finally, I supervised accounts payable and receivable in collaboration with the finance department, ensuring meticulous monitoring of financial flows and the reliability of transactions.
